Is There a Healthy and Effective Approach to Losing Weight?

As time marches on it seems to be so out of control that you have to wonder, "Is there a safe and effective approach to finally get the excess weight off?" The question respectfully requires a closer look for even the way we think about it, weight loss isn't accurate . Maybe you don't agree but have you really thought about it, weight loss? Did you ever pay attention to what those two words really mean?

What anyone with a weight problem really want to do is remove the unhealthy fat they carry. We don't want to lose muscle and we without doubt don't want to reduce the amount of bone weight we have. So the goal for anyone with excess weight is to eliminate as much of that unnecessary, bulky and unhealthy fat off their bodies. I'm sure anyone would agree this is most accurate . So agree we should use the word fat instead of weight.

But what about the word lose. We almost always want to to get back in our possession what we lose. If we lost something we either search for it, are excited if someone finds it for us and returns it or we are disappointed it may never be returned . If not , we would not feel as if we lost it but threw it away . Stick with me for a moment and switch out lose with reduce, eliminate, let go of, throw away, etc. I'll bet it's easy enough to follow .

But back to the whole idea of what's in the title; Is There a Healthy and Effective Approach to Losing Weight? Absolutely . It was initiated with the beginning of what you've been reading. It's in replacing words to create a more positive response . Once we begin to become more aware of our thoughts and behavior about the substance we're using emotionally we call food, then and only then can we have any say in what will happen and what we get physically about the how we use food. Generally we have become numb as to what we are doing and don't even give it a second thought any more. There are rooted deep emotional motivators why we continue to eat in ways that cause illness and disease as well as emotional pain and discomfort. And believe it or not we are abusing food if we are creating problems with these behaviors with food. If we ate when hungry and stopped when full and ate in a without the focus being on emotions, enough fat would be removed from us to create a more general happy and positive attitude. Not really but just imagine how much fat wouldn't exist on our collective selves if almost everyone was in better shape ? Wow !

Not until the deep rooted motivators why we eat like we do are dealt with can there be any hope for something better. If that worked no one would be fat or be embarrassed, unhealthy or continue or even increase bad habits like they do while throwing away so much money, time and emotion to simply "lose weight."

We have to come to the realization , if we ever want to be of a healthier mindset and emotional well being that the the area within us where habits are stored needs attention , not the external part of us. It wasn't focusing on the body that got it fat. It was smothering negative emotion and/or trying to fill some emotional void that raised our total poundage to an enormous level . We didn't feel wonderful the way we were and then sat and ate away while getting unhealthier. No, we allowed ourselves to fall into denial and ate ourselves into this pitfall of bad health and personal issues, which is now called an epidemic, all because of our feelings . The sad part is that this perceived fix didn't do what we thought it would . The pills and new best way to diet and everything else the $40 Billion weight loss industry shoves down our throats has proven futile and weak and cause even more physical harm .
